Terms and conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to services and purchases made through Mila’s website and business, including murals, commissions, prints, original artwork, speaking engagements, live event services, and related creative work.

Clients may reach out by email or through the website contact form. Mila typically responds within 48 hours, or within one week during mural season from April through August.

All projects are accepted at Mila’s discretion. Mila reserves the right to decline any project that does not align with her artistic values, schedule, or body of work.

Quotes are based on the information provided by the client, including dimensions, concept, location, timing, and site conditions. For mural work, a site visit is generally required before a final quote is issued. For out-of-town projects, photos and a Zoom consultation may be used initially. If actual site conditions differ materially from what was represented, the quote may be revised.

Mural projects require a 50% deposit and a signed contract before work moves beyond an initial pencil sketch. Event bookings require a 25% nonrefundable deposit and a signed contract to reserve the date. Other commissions and custom projects generally require a 50% deposit unless otherwise stated in writing.
Projects are not considered booked until the required deposit has been received.

For projects other than events, the remaining balance is due upon completion and must be paid within 10 days of notice that the work is finished. Final delivery, installation, or release of artwork may be delayed until full payment is received.

IIf a client is not ready to move forward with a mural installation, Mila may offer a design-only service. Design fees generally range from $500 to $2,000, depending on the project.
All concepts, sketches, mockups, and final designs remain Mila’s intellectual property unless a separate written licensing agreement or work-for-hire agreement is signed.

Mural projects include 1 major revision and 2 minor revisions, provided the requested changes remain consistent with Mila’s artistic style and mission. Additional revisions may be billed at an added design fee.

Clients are responsible for:
Providing accurate project details
Giving timely feedback and approvals
Ensuring access to the project site
Preparing the wall or space as discussed
Providing any required permissions for the use of the siteFor murals, clients may also be responsible for furniture removal, wall access, power washing, or other site preparation discussed during the site visit.

Mila will use materials appropriate to the project, which may include house paint, acrylic paint, exterior paint, or spray paint. Protective coatings such as anti-graffiti or UV coatings are not included unless explicitly listed in the estimate.
The client understands that factors such as wall texture, lighting, weather exposure, and paint type may affect the final appearance and lifespan of the work.
For murals, clients may also be responsible for furniture removal, wall access, power washing, or other site preparation discussed during the site visit.

Murals without protective coating generally last 5 to 7 years before noticeable weathering. Murals with added protection may last 7 to 10 years. Bright and neon colors may fade more quickly.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, post-installation touch-ups, repairs, or restoration work are not included and require a separate booking.

Live event services, including caricatures, live painting, and watercolor illustration, are subject to the event terms outlined in the client’s estimate and contract.
Mila’s base rate for event work is $500 for a minimum of 3 hours, plus $75 per additional hour. Travel fees and custom materials may apply.
For outdoor events, adequate shade and safe working conditions must be provided when applicable.

Deposits are nonrefundable.
For event bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the event, the client is responsible for 50% of the total booking fee.
For other project types, cancellations and rescheduling requests may be subject to additional fees depending on how much work has already been completed and the amount of time reserved on Mila’s calendar.

All artwork purchases, custom commissions, and original works are nonrefundable once work has begun or once the purchase is complete.
Print orders may be refunded prior to delivery. Once shipped or delivered, print purchases are considered final unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect.

Artwork is typically shipped via USPS or UPS. Mila is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, or inaccurate delivery details provided by the client.
Delivery is available within a 20-mile radius of Metro Detroit or Greater Lansing. Deliveries outside those areas may require an additional fee.

Payment plans may be available for original artwork and print purchases over $300. Most payment plans do not exceed 90 days. Artwork will not be released until all payments are complete unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Mila currently works from a home studio and does not offer studio visits. Interested buyers may request a meeting off-site when appropriate.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Mila may photograph, document, and share completed or in-progress work for portfolio, website, social media, press, and promotional use.

Mila is not responsible for delays, damages, or additional costs caused by site conditions, weather, access issues, third-party interference, client delays, shipping carriers, or other factors beyond her reasonable control.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
