Kamala Harris is the first female Vice President. I chose her because the day of inauguration I saw so much hope, happiness, and positivity being spread across social media. As a woman it feels great to see another woman in a level of power. For the first Woman VP to be a woman of color as well, I feel that much more empowered and confident about the life I have left to lead. I hope that this piece makes someone else feel that as well.
